We would love to believe that every love story is guaranteed a happy ending, but reality can be quite different. A clear example of this is a couple who fell in love while playing PUBG, only to be arrested shortly after meeting in person and starting to live together.
Seema Ghulam Haider, a woman from Pakistan, and Sachin Meena, a man from India, met while playing PUBG. In the Battle Royale game, they formed a deep relationship that turned into love after exchanging messages and having several calls. As you can imagine, these lovebirds couldn't wait any longer to see each other and be together, so they planned to meet in person.
"Sachin used to talk to someone late at night, as late as 2:00 or 3:00 AM. Then he confessed that he was in love with a woman from Pakistan and intended to marry her," said Birbal Meena, Sachin's uncle.
Love that Started in PUBG Ended in Arrest
It's a love story worthy of a captivating reality show, especially when you consider that Sachin's family disapproved of Seema because she was from an "enemy country." Sadly, things took a turn for the worse. It turns out that shortly after meeting, the couple was arrested and now faces the possibility of spending some time in prison. The reason? The woman entered India illegally.
In March, the couple met for the first time in Nepal, and after spending a week together, they went their separate ways. Despite that, their love was so intense that they reunited in Nepal two months later. During that meeting, Haider brought her four children, and they all went to live with Sachin in India.

But if they managed to enter India without much trouble, how were they caught? The answer is ironic. It turns out that Sachin and Seema wanted to go through the legal process to live in India as a happy family. To do so, they consulted a lawyer who, instead of helping them, reported them to the authorities upon learning that Seema was from Pakistan.
"I was alarmed when I found out that she and her children (three daughters and a son) had Pakistani passports. I was inquiring about the process to get married in India. She said she wanted to marry Sachin," the lawyer said. "When I learned that they were living in a house in Rabupura, I informed the police."
The tragic story of this couple is yet another consequence of the enormous tensions between India and Pakistan, countries that have faced multiple wars. We hope that everything is resolved favorably for them in the end, and they can live their love in freedom.
