According to the job listing from Cliffhanger Games, which is currently looking for a designer and 2 software engineers, the Black Panther game will be an open-world experience with rich, dynamic environments and the presence of memorable characters and enemies.
Furthermore, this Black Panther title will feature a "highly innovative" system called Open Story, defined as the integration of interconnected systems related to dialogue subsystems and all kinds of interactions. Similarly, it is anticipated that this system will offer dynamic narrative development with branching dialogues and a focus on what they call interactive fiction.
While dialogue trees and their consequences are not new in video games, it's possible that the Black Panther video game will build upon them and take them to the next level, bringing freshness to open-world experiences without neglecting the story and narrative elements that are often seen as almost sacred by superhero fans.
