Drifting is a more common problem than you think and, unfortunately, it affects all companies' controllers. GameSir, a company focused on peripherals, wants to put an end to this annoying inconvenience, at least on Xbox. So it presented its new G7 SE controller that promises to put an end to drifting once and for all.

This will be possible because its controller will use special technology in its sticks, which will prevent certain components from wearing out and causing the infamous problem. The good news is that the controller is already available and is offered at a price very similar to that of a standard Xbox controller.

New Xbox controller will never suffer from drift

The G7 SE controller is now available for $44.99. It looks like an ordinary Xbox X Series X|S controller; however, one of its components is different. The drift of conventional controllers occurs when there is a failure in the stick potentiometers, so GameSir opted for the use of Hall sensors.

These detect stick movements by measuring changes in the magnetic field generated by a magnet. This information is converted into electrical signals and sent to the system to control the direction and position in the game.

Hall sensors are very accurate and reliable, making them an ideal choice to avoid drift. GameSir ensures that its controller sticks are durable and designed to avoid any premature wear and tear.

It's important to remember that Xbox is no stranger to the drift problem. A couple of years ago, Microsoft faced a class action lawsuit over problems with its standard and Elite controllers. This forced the company to extend the warranty on its most current Elite controllers.
