The latest trailer for the One Piece live-action series divided fan opinion. Some people are excited about this version of Luffy and company's adventure, while others are doubtful about the production and its look.
The controversy reached a new level after it was discovered that the trailer debuted with a serious mistake that, of course, did not go unnoticed by fans of the franchise. In one of the most iconic scenes you get to see what appears to be an Apple Watch. Yes, a smartwatch mistakenly appeared in the trailer for the pirate series.

A smartwatch in One Piece? Netflix already removed it
Passionate fans of One Piece analyzed frame by frame the most recent trailer for the series, where we are introduced to Luffy, his crew and other key characters. Everyone was puzzled by a detail seen in the iconic Gold Roger execution scene, as one of the extras is wearing a smartwatch on his wrist.
The production error caused some people to laugh, but other fans of the franchise were disappointed and even annoyed by this oversight. They claimed that a modern element like an Apple Watch completely ruins the immersion and setting of the series.
Of course, the information reached the ears of Netflix, who quickly edited the trailer and uploaded a new version without the controversial device. This kind of oversights are very common, so in the end the community took it with humor.
Several fans tried to justify the presence of the watch in the series and argued that it is a modern Log Pose or a device created by Dr. Vegapunk, an important character in the saga. Below you can see an image showing the curious detail.
