Said material appeared on YouTube and, shortly after, it was removed. It is known that the person responsible was a player known as Memphian94 who, according to the reddit community, was recently arrested and charged with theft.
Player gets in trouble for leaking Starfield
Shortly after Memphian94 shared his 40-minute video and first impressions of Starfield, he apologized to Todd Howard for revealing details of the game before its release. However, this did not save him from being arrested this week.
According to reports, the subject was arrested yesterday and was charged with stealing items worth an estimated $2500 to $10,000 USD. It is said that he took them from the warehouse where he worked to later sell them for profit.
What is interesting is that among the stolen items were several copies of Starfield, which made his leaks possible. While his arrest was not directly related to the material he uploaded without authorization, everyone believes that his videos helped to stop him.
