Red, Blue, and Leaf will reclaim their title as the most powerful pairs in the gacha game

It seems like it was just yesterday, but Pokémon Masters EX, the franchise's trio battle title, is starting the week off on the right foot as it celebrates its 4th anniversary with the addition of 3 powerful and popular sync pairs, as well as plenty of new content.

DeNA and The Pokémon Company continue to support their joint project, bringing new content to the game month after month for the past 4 years. September is a special month for the game as it brings anniversary updates in celebration of August 28.

Red, Blue, and Leaf will don stunning outfits to celebrate in Pokémon Masters EX

As is the tradition each year, incredibly powerful sync pairs are added that become part of the meta, and this time is no exception. DeNA revealed that the trio of Master Fair sync pairs will be the most popular characters from Kanto.

Of course, we're referring to Red, Blue, and Leaf, who are already in the game but will be presented in Neo Champion outfits for the anniversary, with their sync partners being Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, respectively, appearing throughout the anniversary week.

One of the major novelties of this anniversary is the addition of 2 new sync pair types: Environment and Speed. Additionally, new EX functions called EX Roles will grant a second type to sync pairs, making them even more powerful.

There's Plenty of Exciting News Coming to Pokémon Masters EX

Of course, the above is not all. The game is currently experiencing one of its best seasons. Nemona arrived a few weeks ago, becoming the first sync pair from Paldea (unfortunately, she is no longer recruitable).

However, a plethora of events are currently underway, including one celebrating the end of the villain storyline, as well as various battles offering rewards such as valuable cost-free gems needed to recruit sync pairs.

If you're interested in the title but haven't played it before, don't worry – there's plenty of content to enjoy once you start playing. Furthermore, don't be saddened if you think you won't be able to recruit a pair, as you should be able to obtain what you need to even achieve the pity pull a couple of times; just make sure to plan carefully which banners to spend your gems on, and focus on them one by one if you want to avoid spending on premium gems.

As you can see from the trailers, Pokémon Masters EX will give away up to 7000 cost-free gems, and not only that, but it will also allow you to select a sync pair from Marnie & Morpeko, Raihan & Duraludon, and N & Zekrom, which you can invite to the Trainer's Lounge, where you can get to know them better by going on dates.

Furthermore, more surprises are hinted at to complement the anniversary month, in addition to upcoming improvements and a new type of gameplay that's in development and will arrive in the coming months.
