Baldur’s Gate 3 has become one of the sensations of 2023. After a significant time in Early Access, the RPG from Larian Studios officially debuted and surprised both fans and newcomers. People are eager for more Baldur’s Gate 3, but will Larian Studios deliver?
Recently, IGN had an interview with Tom Butler, Product Manager at Larian Studios. They asked him about the possibility of Baldur’s Gate 3 expanding with more content, such as an expansion or DLC.
Butler left the door open to this possibility, stating that Larian Studios wants to "do more" with Baldur’s Gate 3. That said, he also made it clear that DLC is not their priority at the moment, and they are currently focused on releasing patches to improve the RPG.
"We'll keep releasing patches for a while, and then we'll take a break and think about what to do next. But right now, we're really just in talks. We want to do more. We don't know what yet," he said.
It's worth mentioning that Larian Studios is not only focused on releasing patches for Baldur’s Gate 3, but also on bringing it to more platforms. In a matter of days, the acclaimed RPG will make its debut on PlayStation 5. Furthermore, it's expected to arrive on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S before the year ends. So, it will be quite some time before we hear news about DLC for Baldur’s Gate 3.
