New Arc Line appears to be the unexpected blend of BioShock Infinite and Baldur's Gate
Without prior notice and in the most surprising manner, Dreamate Games, a studio based in Ukraine composed of veterans from GSC Game World, 4A Games, and Frogwares, unveiled New Arc Line, a CRPG that at first glance looks like a dream combination of BioShock Infinite and Baldur's Gate 3. This is evident in its art design and the concept that envelops its story, which you can see below in its captivating and intriguing first trailer.
When will New Arc Line debut?
New Arc Line is a role-playing video game set in a Steampunk world, taking place in the fictional city of New Arc. In its timeline, the United States developed from steam-powered machines and continued along that path throughout the 20th century, creating a seemingly equal and technologically advanced society.
However, as is often the case in such works, this is nothing more than a facade, as New Arc hides inequality and corruption beneath its society and structures, which erode from within until it becomes a ticking time bomb.
The official description of New Arc Line states: "Your journey begins in the gleaming metropolis of New Arc. Thousands of immigrants, mages, and technologists from various races arrive here on steamships and zeppelins in search of a better life. But beneath the golden facade, social tensions are escalating, segregation, inequality, and corruption run rampant. A civil war is looming. A single immigrant could tip the balance and decide the fate of this world."
According to the information provided, New Arc Line is set to debut in 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
