Phil Spencer and other Xbox executives recently went to Japan for the Tokyo Game Show 2023. They took advantage of the trip to once again visit Hideo Kojima, a creative working on an exclusive title for the brand's ecosystem.
While there is no new information on what the title will offer, Spencer spoke briefly about its current status and how much longer gamers should wait to enjoy it. On the other hand, Kojima showed off several photos where he is seen alongside the Xbox team.
Will Kojima's Xbox exclusive debut soon?
During a recent chat with Game Watch (via Game Rant), Spencer stated that the development of Kojima's Xbox game is on track. He knows that fans are eager to know more details about the project, so he justified the lack of news about it.
The Xbox boss claimed that the silence around the game is part of the creative process. The reason? Xbox wants to give Kojima and his entire team the time they need to develop the title they've dreamed of and the creative freedom to shape their ideas in their own way.
He stated that giving the studio space and keeping them out of the spotlight is essential for them to successfully build the title, the name and details of which are still a mystery. That said, all indications are that the launch of the project is still a long way off.
Kojima and Xbox team had a good time
As we told you, Kojima shared several photos where he is seen alongside Phil Spencer, Sarah Bond, Aaron Greenberg and other members of the Xbox team. In some images they are seen at the Kojima Productions offices, while in others they visit tourist sites in Japan.
The gaming community was delighted with the images and many highlighted how happy Spencer looks next to Kojima. On the other hand, criticisms towards the developer were not lacking and, again, some people called him a traitor.
