Baldur's Gate 3 was a resounding success on PC and PlayStation 5, so it's only natural to know that Xbox fans are dying to play it. Larian Studios has reiterated that the Xbox Series X|S port will arrive this year; however, it's not long before the end of 2023 and there's still no exact date.
The good news is that, according to a recent report, the RPG will not take much longer to arrive on Xbox. This is because a possible release date for Baldur's Gate 3 for Xbox Series X|S has been leaked.
Baldur's Gate 3 is coming sooner than you think to Xbox
According to eXputer sources, Larian Studios will most likely make good on its promise to release Baldur's Gate 3 on Xbox Series X|S right at the end of the year. The said port is expected to be available next December 6.
The media stresses that this is a tentative date and is the developers' goal for now. However, several factors may influence and lead to a short delay. Specifically, there is talk of various game tests and the possibility of finding some serious bug, which could force the studio to take a few more days.
However, the report assures that, if all goes well, the RPG will be available on Xbox by the beginning of next month. If so, Xbox Series X|S users will have an excellent end to the year, as they will be able to enjoy one of the best games of 2023.
In case you don't remember, the Xbox version of the RPG was delayed because Larian had some technical issues with the Xbox Series S. Specifically, it failed to get the split-screen mode to run properly. In the end, Xbox decided to drop the parity and approve a port without such a feature for its less powerful console.
