A few weeks ago, Xiaomi confirmed HyperOS, its new operating system that will take the place of MIUI. After a short wait, there is already more information about this release and the Xiaomi, POCO and Redmi devices that will be able to update to take advantage of it.
On the other hand, there is also already a launch window for the new Android-based operating system. Initially, it will debut later this year in a specific region and, subsequently, it will reach the rest of the world. Below, we share with you all the details.
When will HyperOS be available?
According to official information, the new operating system will have 2 release phases. The first one will take place from December 2023 to January 2024. In this period, HyperOS will be released through an update exclusively for users in China.
Now, when will it be released globally? We know that the deployment in the rest of the world will start in the first quarter of 2024. This implies that it will arrive between January and March next year. There is still no calendar with approximate dates by region, but it is a fact that it will be a staggered launch for compatible devices.
On which devices will HyperOS be available for download?
Some time ago a leaked list emerged with the alleged devices that would be compatible with the operating system. Now, Xiaomi has already shared an official preliminary list. Thanks to this, we know that some devices will come preloaded with HyperOS out of the box.
This will apply to the Xiaomi 14 series devices, the Xiaomi Watch S3 smartwatch, the Xiaomi TV S Pro 85″ MiniLED, among others. Below, I leave you the list with all the compatible devices confirmed so far:
