In recent weeks, the rumor of the project's cancellation gained so much strength that many now take it for granted. However, one of the most reliable sources in the industry, journalist Jason Schreier, through ResetEra, shed light on the matter. In the midst of uncertainty, two people from the Saber Interactive development team reached out to him to affirm that they "continue working on it."

Having said that, and despite the discouraging clues that have emerged in recent days, the project has not been scrapped as some reports suggest but would still be alive.
However, Schreier made it clear that, while he believes the project is still in development, it does not necessarily mean it will ever see the light of day. He simply conveyed what his contacts at Saber Interactive told him, raising some questions at the same time.
"'Is it alive?' and 'Will it ever be released?' are two very different questions. A third one is 'If it ever comes out, how will it look?'" the journalist commented.
Both Jeff Grubb and Schreier have proven to have reliable sources in the industry, but in this case, apparently, the information from the latter source is the most up-to-date, and it is first-hand.
