PlayStation Plus is a highly appealing service, offering players an extensive library of exclusive and third-party titles through its Extra and Premium tiers to enjoy at no additional cost. Unfortunately, 9 video games are on their way out and will be leaving the catalog in a few weeks.
These games will soon leave PlayStation Plus, and you won't be able to play them
Sony updated the "Last Chance to Play" section in the PS Plus Extra tab on the PlayStation 5, indicating that more games will be saying goodbye to the subscription service starting January 2024. Specifically, 9 titles will be exiting the catalog, with a couple standing out due to their positive reception.
The first is It Takes Two, the acclaimed cooperative video game from Hazelight and Electronic Arts, directed by Josef Fares. It's worth remembering that it debuted with very high ratings, earning the GOTY at The Game Awards 2021. Its positive reception translated into over 7 million copies sold.
The second is Devil May Cry 5, the action franchise sequel from Capcom. Since its release in 2019, it has received praise from both professional critics and players for its excellent combat system and charismatic characters. It currently holds an average score of 87 on Metacritic.
Another standout title leaving the Extra and Premium levels of PlayStation Plus is Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, the RPG from Obsidian Entertainment.
Here are the games leaving PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium on January 16, 2024:
Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition
Everything
It Takes Two
JETT: The Far Shore + Given Time
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae
Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition

Unfortunately, these titles won't be the only ones leaving the subscription service. Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Friday the 13th, and more games are set to exit the catalog on December 19.
