We say the latter because the game in question will be available within Roblox, the popular platform where users can share their own gaming experiences. The good news is that Scott Cawthon, the creator of the original releases, is involved.
We're talking about Five Nights at Freddy's: Survival Crew, a title that appears to be inspired by Dead by Daylight. It is unknown when it will be officially available, but an error allowed some people to play it ahead of schedule.

According to reports, fans noticed that the multiplayer game, developed by Metaverse Team Frights, appeared in the Roblox listings. After trying it out, they realized it had many errors and, overall, seemed unfinished. The truth is that it is not ready for debut.
On Reddit, Scott Cawthon acknowledged the existence of the project and confirmed that it was accidentally released, as it is still in its early stages of development, using temporary assets.
"Yes, we are working on an official Roblox game. I'm actually a big fan of Roblox and play a lot with my kids. But the fact that this was released today is one of the most baffling and crazy things that has happened to me in my 10 years of working on Five Nights at Freddy's," commented the creator in a post.
The developer of Five Nights at Freddy's states that there was a great misunderstanding because he approved a skin, and someone thought that was the signal to launch the game. When he learned of the error, he deleted the project. He emphasizes that the version players tested is far from the final one.
"I'll fix it in 2024. Again, I hope everyone can at least believe me when I say that this was a game in its testing phases and by no means was ready to be released to the public. I haven't even played it myself. Again, a catastrophic misunderstanding, and I apologize," concluded Scott Cawthon.
Players believe that Five Nights at Freddy's: Survival Crew is a generic clone of Dead by Daylight and consider a collaboration with the video game from Behaviour Interactive a better option. Others were harsher, stating that the project should be rebuilt entirely.
