Good news arrives regarding the second movie of Mortal Kombat, as it has just been confirmed that filming has wrapped up, and it's only a matter of time before we find out what it has in store for all the fans. Due to this, the film's producer sent a message.
As you may recall, the progress of this project raised many doubts after the strike of writers, scriptwriters, and actors that occurred last year, so it wasn't clear how much the production would be delayed.
Fortunately for all fans, it seems that the pause did not significantly impact the production, and one of the individuals responsible for Mortal Kombat 2 confirmed that filming has already concluded and wanted to share the following words with the community.

As you could see, it was the film's producer, Todd Garner, who confirmed the progress of the movie on his social media, all with a clip in which he mentioned that the process felt like an "incredible journey."
Additionally, he took the opportunity to ask for a bit of patience from all the fans who have inquired about the first trailer for the film, stating that there is still much to be done in the production.
It is worth mentioning that, although there is no confirmed release date, Mortal Kombat 2 is planned to hit theaters by late 2024 or even early 2025, so there is still a long wait ahead.
Remember that Simon McQuoid, the director of the first film, will return for this sequel, and the script will be handled by Jeremy Slater, who previously worked on different projects, such as the Marvel series Moon Knight.
