Xbox will make changes, but not as drastic as thought
Insider Nate the Hate backed up reports of a change in Xbox strategy and rumors of Starfield coming to PlayStation. In a new series of message, he qualified his comments to clarify some of the information he shared.
He insists that Xbox will indeed bring some of its games to competing consoles; however, he stresses that it is a mistake to think that all of its titles will be multiplatform. He also said that reports of certain games coming to PlayStation and Nintendo are mere rumors and that things can change.
On top of that, he stated that Microsoft will not give up on hardware, so Xbox is expected to launch new consoles in the future. Lastly, he stated that the companies will make high-profile games remain exclusive to their ecosystem.
"Microsoft will bring select games multiplat. That I have confidence in. People are making wild assumptions that every game is going multiplat -- which is not the case. Nor is Microsoft going to exit the hardware industry. The multiplat strategy is a slight shift in strategy, in which some titles go multiplat. Microsoft will keep high profile games exclusive", the insider said.
It is almost a given that speculation on the subject will continue in the coming days, as Xbox will clarify everything until next week. Some followers of the brand have asked for patience from the community, as it is best to wait for the official announcement.
