On January 31, the first State of Play of 2024 took place. Although we saw new previews of very interesting games, there was a significant absence: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long to learn more details about the highly anticipated JRPG from Square Enix.
As promised, the Japanese role-playing game was the focus of a special broadcast where director Naoki Hamaguchi and producer Yoshinori Kitase shared more information.
Thanks to the event, we got to know more about the supporting characters that will accompany us on the adventure, available missions, combat systems, music, graphic modes, and much more.
Even though there are a few weeks left until Final Fantasy VII Rebirth officially hits stores, we will have the opportunity to play sooner. This is because creative director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed at the end of the broadcast that a free demo debuted today, February 6, 2024.
How to download the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo?
The exclusive demo is already available on PlayStation 5 and will allow us to play as Cloud and Sephiroth during the flashback chapter set in Nibelheim. Of course, it's an ideal opportunity to experience the mechanics of the robust combat system and immerse ourselves in the epic story of the new installment.
Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that, at some point between today and the official release, the free demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be updated to include an open-world section where we can play as Cloud, Aerith, Tifa Lockhart, Barrett, and Red XIII in Junon.
Fortunately, downloading the demo is very easy and fast. All we have to do is search for the game in the PS Store. We can also add it directly to our library by clicking here.
