"It's unacceptable", unions call strike at Ubisoft for this reason

Associations asked workers to raise their voices once again

Although Ubisoft has already overcome some of its most recent controversies, the problems are not over for the studio. Now, several unions in France called for a strike and asked the company's workers to raise their voices. The reason? The good financial results and the little salary increase.

The unions STJV and Solidaires Informatique called Ubisoft workers to strike next February 14. This to demand better wage increases, as the organizations consider current raises unacceptable.

According to details, some workers are dissatisfied, as they know that the company has met its financial expectations and is in green numbers. For this reason, they believe that raises could be better.

The unions argue that "Ubisoft employees deserve real raises, not crumbs from the bosses". For this reason, they asked workers in all French offices to stop work next Wednesday. The company has not commented on the matter for now.

With this, they hope that the studio will sit down to negotiate and reach a fair agreement for both parties. However, nothing is confirmed, as the unions revealed that they have been in negotiations for several weeks.

"To Ubisoft's management, our living standards going down isn't a bug, it's a feature. A company that still makes a profit, even when its execs have failed repeatedly, choosing to have its employees pay to increase its profits is plainly unacceptable", the organizations stated.
