Fans of Tomb Raider know well that on February 14th, not only is Valentine's Day celebrated, but also the birthday of Lara Croft. It seems that Crystal Dynamics didn't forget this important date but made a few announcements.
What caught the most attention is the gift that the studio prepared for those who registered on the new website of the series. Crystal Dynamics distributed 2 Lara Croft wallpapers, and one stood out because it reveals what the explorer's appearance will be for the new era of the franchise.
Is Crystal Dynamics hinting at the new redesign of Lara Croft?
As you can see below, the new art of the series features a Lara Croft who, while having a face more similar to the Survivor trilogy (which served as a reboot of the series), wears an outfit that evokes the character as portrayed in the early titles of the series.
Most notably, Crystal Dynamics discarded the bow that characterized the character in the reboot in favor of the dual pistols that were representative of the explorer in the original games, in addition to the blue blouse and brown shorts ensemble. Not to mention a look that exudes confidence and determination, distancing itself from the inexperienced Lara Croft of the reboot.

Although Crystal Dynamics has not revealed what Lara Croft will look like in the new Tomb Raider, it has made clear its intention to unify the past and present of the heroine.
There is speculation that this new artwork is giving us a glimpse of what the new Lara Croft will be like in the video games, which interestingly is similar to the design of the heroine that we saw in the collaboration with Call of Duty[/url].
We will keep you informed.
