Xbox Game Pass captivates millions of fans worldwide, offering a large and appealing library of titles. We already knew that there would be major day one releases in 2024, but it was recently confirmed that a highly anticipated title will no longer be part of the service's catalog.
When a title is announced to join the program or leave the library, last-minute changes are very rare. Sometimes they happen, for better or for worse.
For example, the acclaimed JRPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered didn't leave the catalog on March 15, despite its departure being announced earlier this month; however, sometimes moves occur that don't favor players.

Ereban: Shadow Legacy Cancels its Launch on Xbox Game Pass
Previously, it was announced that the stealth platformer Ereban: Shadow Legacy would be available day one in the Xbox Game Pass library. Unfortunately, there was a last-minute change, and its development studio revealed that the version for Microsoft consoles has been delayed, and it won't be joining the service anymore.
In a statement, the company responsible for the project revealed that changes in their relationship with the publisher Raw Fury led to the cancellation of the day one release on the subscription program. It's unknown when the console versions will arrive, but we do know when it will debut on PC.
Baby Robot Games reassured the community and stated that they still plan to release the game on Microsoft consoles as soon as possible, although they refrained from revealing further details.
"Due to recent changes, we will no longer be able to launch the game on Xbox and Game Pass on day one (...) As people who grew up with different Xbox consoles, we were very excited, so this is also a shame for us. But rest assured that we will do everything we can to bring Ereban to Xbox as soon as we can," the developer stated.
Although there's always the possibility of it joining the service if console versions materialize, fans shouldn't expect it anytime soon. In response to a user on social media, the studio confirmed that it won't be available through PC Game Pass either.
Beyond the bad news, Baby Robot Games confirmed that Ereban: Shadow Legacy will be available for PC via Steam starting from April 10.
