The world of video games and anime is in mourning, as illustrator and designer Mutsumi Inomata passed away recently. She died on March 10 for undisclosed reasons. The sad news was shared through her social networks this morning. She was known for her work in the series Tales of, as well as for her illustrations for various anime and manga.

Mutsumi Inomata has always been a fan of anime and manga. Her career in the industry began in 1978, when she started working at Ashi Productions as an animator and character designer. Later, she joined Kaname Productions and then became a freelance artist.

She ventured into anime and manga with productions such as GB Bomber, Windaria, Plawres Sanshiro, Future GPX Cyber Formula, Brain Powerd, among many other projects. She also had a prominent role in the video game industry.

She was the main character designer in Tales of, the popular RPG series. Her work appears in important installments of the saga, such as Tales of Destiny, Tales of Eternia, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Hearts, Tales of Xillia, Tales of Berseria, Tales of Crestoria and more.
