Microsoft Rewards App will disappear from Xbox, what will happen to the rewards program?

The Microsoft Rewards program has undergone several changes in recent months. Even, Microsoft suggested that several major adjustments were on the way and that this initiative could disappear from Xbox as we know it today.

Via a message displayed in the Microsoft Rewards app, the company confirmed that there will indeed be changes next month. The app and several program tasks will disappear from Xbox; however, there is good news for gamers.

According to details, the Microsoft Rewards app will disappear from Xbox as of April 15 this year. That's not all, as on the same day the program will stop offering its weekly streaks and various tasks in the brand's ecosystem.

The reason? Microsoft will replace the program's application with the rewards center it introduced a few months ago. This is with the idea of unifying all rewards and rewards-related content in one place. In this way, it hopes to make the players' experience better.

The said rewards center currently has the tasks related to Xbox Game Pass and other missions to earn points and redeem for various rewards. That said, Microsoft Rewards will not cease to exist as such, but it will be integrated into a new location, which will mean changes for Xbox gamers.

"Rewards with Xbox has a new home. Check out the new Rewards hub, your go-to destination for Xbox activities and offers, availble across devices. Now you can see available activities, set up a goal, and redeem your rewards all in one place. The new activities focus on what matters most: earning points while having fun playing games.

"With the new Rewards hub and gaming activities coming to Xbox, we will no longer publish offers in the Microsoft Rewards app on console starting in April 2024. This means the current Weekly Set and Weekly Streak on this app will end as of April 15, 2024", Microsoft explained.

As you can imagine, the news disappointed many Xbox fans, who lamented the changes and the disappearance of missions like the weekly Streak. The community hopes that Microsoft will offer new ways to earn points so as not to take away some of the program's appeal.
