Some PlayStation Plus users have been having trouble using the service normally in recent days. What's going on is that there is an annoying bug that causes 2 titles available on the service to start and run simultaneously.
This causes 2 games to be displayed on screen and it is impossible to enjoy them. Some players warned about this bug, as they consider that it can be dangerous for people with epilepsy, as the screen flashes intermittently due to the bug.
Annoying bug causes problems in PlayStation Plus
TheLeftBoy, a reddit user, shared a curious video that caught the attention of many gamers. It shows how he starts Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 from the service, but something prevents him from enjoying the game: the screen keeps flickering and shows the start menu of another game.
Because of this, the player sees alternately the title of Star Wars and the main screen of Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. This makes it impossible to enjoy either game, so this is a rather annoying bug that completely ruins the experience.
The community is concerned about the bug, as they even believe it can be detrimental to the health of some players. The reason? They think that the repeated flickering may affect users of the service with epilepsy or who suffer from other photosensitivity conditions.
TheLeftBoy explained that he was able to fix the problem by restarting the game; however, he is not sure what happened. Other players stated that they have also faced this bug when using PlayStation Plus to play via the cloud.
At the time of this writing, Sony has not commented on the issue. Everything indicates that there are only isolated cases of players affected by the problem. Recently, some PlayStation services registered errors, so this bug will probably be fixed and stop ruining the gaming experience of some subscribers. Below you can see a video of the bug:
