Stellar Blade: Concerns about combat detail worry players

Stellar Blade will debut on April 26th and beyond the controversy over character design, some players are concerned about a detail in combat and SHIFT UP's response, developers of this title who, at the very least, are aware of the situation.

Noticeable Input Lag Detected in Stellar Blade Demo

The release of the official demo of Stellar Blade resulted in endless analysis, but some of them revealed that the game has noticeable input lag, something that could be very problematic given that it is an action game focused on combat with a system that combines hack and slash with the rhythmic movement of a Souls-like. In case you don't know, input lag, or latency, is the time that elapses from when you execute a command on a controller or keyboard until it is reflected on the screen.

In other types of games, latency is barely noticeable or does not impact the experience, however, in a combat one, it is very important. In the case of the Stellar Blade demo, it was detected that even in performance mode, intended to prioritize frames per second in favor of combat, a latency of 230 ms is recorded.

Once the news spread among the community, the Stellar Blade X account took note of it and recommended to players that if they experience latency during their gaming session, they should check if Game Mode is enabled on their TVs.

Game Mode on a TV is designed to reduce latency by making some sacrifices in visual quality, ensuring that on-screen actions are reflected at the moment the player performs the action on their controller or keyboard. In this case, and although this mode is automatically activated on current screens when connecting a console, it wouldn't hurt to check if this option accompanies you during your gaming experience.

Although SHIFT UP made the recommendation, the expectation is that this detail will be solved for the launch as the expectation is, in part, on the combat system that can mean success or failure for this PS5 title.
