Sony confirmed this morning what many PC gamers and PlayStation fans were waiting for: the brand's trophy system will be coming to Windows computers. This will be possible thanks to a new PlayStation interface specially designed for PC.

The first game to use it will be Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, which will arrive on Steam and the Epic Games Stores next May 16. Trophies will not be the only new feature of the new interface, so here we tell you everything it will include.

Via its official blog, PlayStation confirmed that its new PC interface will allow gamers to access useful features from one place. To be exact, they will be able to view their friends list, settings and profile. In addition, the trophy system will be integrated and can also be tracked from that section.

The interface will come to Windows computers and can be deployed from the game menu or with the shortcut Shift + F1 on the keyboard. The company promised that the trophy system will work in the same way as on consoles. This means that games will have the same trophies on all systems.

Now, what will happen to the support for Steam and the Epic Games Store achievements? Gamers need not worry, as PlayStation titles will continue to be compatible with that system despite the arrival of trophies.

To take advantage of the new interface, trophy system and features such as cross-play, players will need to sign in to their PlayStation Network account or create one. The company stressed that the use of the new features is optional.

Finally, it is important to mention that users who link their account will have the trophies obtained on consoles in the PC versions of the games. So they will not have to unlock them again.
