A survival game with horror touches will soon disappear from PlayStation and Xbox stores. We are referring to 7 Days to Die, a title from The Fun Pimps that will soon leave its early access phase and release its version 1.0 on consoles and PC.

The company confirmed that the original version of the game will no longer be sold on the PlayStation Store and Xbox store, as it will release a new edition. The point is that players will have to purchase the title again to enjoy all its additions.

Via a statement, The Fun Pimps confirmed that 7 Days to Die for consoles will not be updated for its 1.0 release. Instead, they will be releasing a new edition that players will have to purchase to enjoy the title at its best.

The developers explained that this is due to the technical differences between the various console generations and the parity they want to have with the PC version. They stated that they are working with Sony and Microsoft so that owners of the original version of the game will have a special discount to purchase the new release.

On the other hand, they explained that the current version of the game will disappear from digital stores to avoid possible confusion. The owners of the title will be able to continue enjoying it; however, they will not receive future updates or be able to make purchases.

Another piece of bad news is that players will not be able to keep their progress, since the current save files will not be compatible with the new edition of the game. To top it off, the title will increase in price on all platforms with its 1.0 version.

Although the community is excited about the game's new debut, as it took 11 years to arrive, there are also gamers dissatisfied with the studio's stance on its console release.
