For starters, the 18.0.1 update includes routine tweaks. So it improves the overall stability of the console to offer a better user experience to gamers. Interestingly, the update puts an end to a recurring problem that has affected many users.

Sometimes, it was impossible to find some access points when setting up a wireless network. This resulted in players not being able to connect their console to their network and, therefore, not being able to access various functions, including downloading updates.

Nintendo recommended users to download the update to solve the connection problems. If unable to do so due to this issue, the company suggested temporarily changing the security settings to use the WPA2 (AES) protocol.

In this way, players will be able to establish a successful connection, download, install the update and put an end to the problem. Afterwards, they will only need to reset their network security settings.

On several occasions, gamers have complained about various connectivity issues with Switch. Fortunately, Nintendo took on the task of solving one of the main problems related to this section of its system.
