As promised some time ago, Epic Games and Harmonix got down to work to make Rock Band 4 guitars compatible with Fortnite Festival, a mode with a musical and rhythmic proposal. We know the era of plastics is over, but not everyone got rid of their instruments, and now it's time to dust them off for a new use.
Rock Band 4 guitars are now compatible with Fortnite Festival
Epic Games and Harmonix announced that Fortnite Festival is now compatible with Rock Band 4 guitars, so these instruments can be used on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Additionally, the companies revealed that compatibility with the PDP RIFFMASTER guitar is also integrated, following their strategy to cover an important part of related accessories that can be used in Fortnite Festival.
For Rock Band 4 guitars, the models compatible with Fortnite Festival on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC are Fender Jaguar and Fender Stratocaster:
Support for Rock Band 4 guitars comes as part of Season 3 of Fortnite Festival, which among other surprises features singer Billie Eilish as part of the thematic content available from today until June 13.
Speaking of Fortnite, it was recently confirmed that a few years ago Epic Games and Nintendo intended to include Samus from Metroid in the Battle Royale, but Nintendo's stance was not compatible with Epic's cross-platform content idea, so the deal fell through.
On the other hand, the recent update of Fortnite: Battle Royale brings good news for players who don't like controversial content.
