Source revealed more interesting details about the next Nintendo console

It is a matter of time before Nintendo reveals its next console. Sources claim that the hardware will stick to the Switch concept and will therefore be a hybrid system. More technical details about Switch 2 and its new controls emerged this morning.

A few days ago, Chinese manufacturer Mobapad stated that the system will be a conservative evolution from the Switch we all know. It also revealed that its display will feature a 1080p resolution. Now, he shared details about what the system will offer when docked to its base and additional information about its new controls.

In a new report, Mobapad reaffirmed that Switch 2 won't be much different in appearance from Nintendo's current console. Internally, however, it will feature some improvements to offer an updated gaming experience.

He stated that the console will offer up to 4K resolution when docked to its base. This is in line with previous reports, which claimed that the console will have support for scaling technologies such as Nvidia's DLSS.

On the other hand, he points out that Switch 2 will feature new Joy-Con. Its design will be similar to the current controllers, but it will have metal SL and SR buttons. Additionally, it will feature new buttons on the right and left sides, as well as another mysterious button below Home.

Mobapad previously stated that the console will have a magnetic system for connecting the new controllers. For such a reason, the current Joy-Con would not be usable in Switch 2's handheld mode. Despite this, they would be compatible in the other modes of use of the system.

The source has revealed very interesting details about the hardware; however, this is unofficial information that Nintendo has not confirmed. For this reason, we recommend you to take it as a simple rumor for now. Reports claim that Switch 2 will be unveiled in the coming months and will debut in early 2025.
