It seems that Geoff Keighley is becoming accustomed to people crashing the stage at his events. As if the "Bill Clinton kid" incident wasnt enough, now at Opening Night Live of gamescom 2023, he had to deal with another gatecrasher.
Just minutes had passed since Opening Night Live had begun, and Geoff Keighley was excitedly discussing Starfield after showing its live-action trailer. While he was talking about playing Bethesdas new RPG, he was interrupted by an individual who ran onto the stage.
What did the intruder want? Fortunately, nothing harmful or violent. He simply wanted some attention to share his message with the world: "Bill Clinton wants to play GTA VI." He approached the microphone multiple times, repeating the name of the Rockstar Games title and that of the former President of the United States. Yes, this person caused trouble just to ask for a new Grand Theft Auto game for a politician.
As you can imagine, Geoff Keighley was not pleased with this moment: "This is a very special night for many developers, and its really disappointing to see someone behave that way, but were going to move on with the show, we have a lot of great games to show you. Really, its very sad for me to see something like this happen on a night when were here to celebrate games and this community and how much they mean to us."

Its worth mentioning that, at the moment, its unclear what will happen to this individual and whether they will face legal consequences. That being said, it wouldnt be surprising if they were banned from gamescom 2023 and other gaming events.
