The Embracer Group debacle continues, and the once European gaming giant has had to play strong cards like selling valuable assets. This week, the sale of Saber Interactive was made public, immediately raising uncertainty about its ongoing projects, prompting one of its executives to clarify the situation.

Saber Interactive Reports on the Status of Some of Its Most Anticipated Video Games

Through a post on its X account, Tim Willits, Chief Operating Officer of Saber Interactive, stated that the three most inquired-about development projects by fans are safe; they have not been cancelled following Embracers sale and are still in progress. Regarding this, the executive mentioned: "I have received many questions about the status of some of our previously announced projects now that Saber has separated from Embracer. I am happy to confirm that we are still working on a number of titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, John Carpenters Toxic Commando, and Jurassic Park: Survival. We are very excited about these titles and cannot wait to share more with everyone soon."

Embracer Group sold a significant portion of Saber Interactive to private investors this week, freeing itself from its obligations to the company and receiving $247 million from Beacon Interactive, which will help in stabilizing its finances as part of a process that is proving to be more complicated than expected.

In addition to the titles mentioned in this article, anticipation has been placed on the ambitious remake project of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In this case, it is reported that development is still active, but due to recent events, it will take longer to arrive.

Following the sale, Saber Interactive retained Nimble Giant Studios, 3D Realms, Sandbox Strategies, New World Interactive, Slipgate Ironworks, Mad Head Games, Fractured Byte, and Digic.
