Concord, One of Gaming’s Most Controversial Flops, Now Sells For Up to $1,000 Online as a Collector’s Item
However, some sellers are practically giving away their copies of the ill-fated PlayStation 5 exclusive at very cheap prices.

Concord is destined to be remembered as one of the most spectacular failures in video game history. Though everything about this game has already been told, it continues to create headlines and this time, it is because certain physical editions have become high-value collectibles.
The boxed copies of the doomed multiplayer shooter from Firewalk Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment are now being sold at very high prices on secondary markets like eBay. It makes sense that resellers want to profit from a title that has become scarce, but some sellers simply want to get rid of it.

Physical Copies of Concord Are Now Selling for Up to $1000 USD on eBay
Concord officially launched on August 23, 2024, following an early access period that began on August 20. That means the game is on the verge of its second anniversary, though there is little reason to celebrate given the catastrophic financial losses that accompanied its release.
The sci-fi hero shooter stumbled out of the gate with an underwhelming debut, peaking at a paltry 697 concurrent players on Steam. Performance on PlayStation 5 proved equally lackluster, with reports confirming abysmal console sales. In every measurable respect, the launch was an unmitigated disaster.
Following that failure, Sony officially pulled the plug on Concord’s servers in September 2024. Because the game required a persistent internet connection, all physical discs were rendered effectively useless. Yet despite now being nothing but coasters, these copies have become sought-after artifacts for collectors.
Almost immediately after the shutdown, resellers began listing physical units for hundreds of dollars. Nearly two years on, it remains curious to see that listings continue to appear on eBay and other platforms at high prices.
As noted by Destructoid, unopened copies in pristine condition, marketed with premium-grade certifications and labeled as “rare” are regularly priced above $400 USD.
Our own search on eBay uncovered one sealed edition listed at an astonishing $1,000 USD. Another seller is asking £349.99 GBP.
It should be noted that all of these listings pertain to the standard edition, which originally sold for just $40 USD in 2024.

Concord Is Also Being Sold for Cheap Online
The exact number of units manufactured by Sony remains undisclosed, but it is likely that a considerable stock still lingers in second-hand shops and online marketplaces. Given the game’s notorious failure, some degree of collector curiosity is understandable.
Consequently, while most listings hover above the $100 mark, a significant number are being offered at remarkably low prices.
A damaged PS5 copy with a torn label, for instance, one that holds little appeal for serious collectors, is available on eBay for as little as $25 USD. Last year, a retail store even made headlines for attempting to sell the game for $50 USD long after its servers had shut down.
Funnily enough, a group of dedicated players once attempted to resurrect Concord through private servers, aiming to restore multiplayer functionality. PlayStation, however, swiftly intervened and shut down that unofficial project.
