It took a long time to become a reality, but Studio MDHR has officially confirmed the physical edition release of Cuphead for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The only thing left to be announced was the release date for the physical edition, and the developers finally revealed It today.
The trailer fully captures the style and atmosphere of the game, as well as showing sections of some of its memorable boss fights. Studio MDHR confirms that retail editions of Cuphead will be available starting Dec. 6, 2022, with distribution for the standard versions at all major retailers. In addition to the disc/cartridge, the package will also feature The Delicious Last Course DLC, six Cuphead Funnies collectible cards, a Cuphead Club membership card and interior artwork.
The company will also produce a Collector's Edition of the game, already available for pre-order through its official website; in addition to all the contents of the standard version, the Collector's will also offer a small music box and a puppet depicting Cuphead.

After five years of waiting, all lovers of the physical format will be able to add to their collection one of the most acclaimed indie productions around, made even more memorable by DLC last summer.
