Originally announced during PlayStation’s State of Play, the upcoming Square Enix and Lancarse Co. Ltd’s strategy game The DioField Chronicle has been surprising media critics who had the chance to test the game before us mortals. That changes today as Square Enix put out a free demo for you to play available in all platform shops.

This demo let you play the game's first chapter, where you will meet characters from the Blue Fox Mercenaries, Andrias Rhondarson, Fredret Lester, Iscarion Colchester, and Waltaquin Redditch. Prepare to explore and stand firm to the bitter end in a land full of war and magic.

Prepare for launch next month

You should know, that this demo gives you about 3 hours of gameplay, and as always all the progress will be transferred to the main game once you decide to purchase it, remember that the full version is expected for September 2022, so you have a good month to try it out.

If you didn’t hear about it The DioField Chronicle is a strategy role-playing game with a Real-Time Tactical Battle system instead of the usual turn-based mechanics; taking a lot from the science fiction video game franchise XCOM, Fire Emblem and even Final Fantasy.
