Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has achieved what seemed impossible: meeting the expectations of fans of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. While the community is generally thrilled, they havent hesitated to express their dissatisfaction with some balance issues. The developers have listened to the complaints and are planning to implement some changes.
Since the early access release, fans have complained about difficulty spikes in the Battle Episodes, the narrative component of this fighting game. Additionally, some players have criticized the strongest fighters dominating the competitive online mode.
Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft are aware of the communitys feedback, and they are already preparing an update that will bring some significant adjustments.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO to nerf Yajirobe and reduce difficulty in story mode
In a brief social media post, the Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO development team confirmed that they are working on a new patch introducing changes and improvements. This update is expected to roll out in late October, although the exact release date remains unknown. However, some of the adjustments to be made have already been detailed.
First and foremost, the upcoming major update will fix a frustrating bug that caused controls to stop responding during online matches when using the classic control scheme. Additionally, there will be general improvements to the games operational stability.
Many players have voiced concerns about the fight against Vegeta Ozaru, one of the first bosses in Gokus campaign. Many argued that the giant ape was launching too many energy beams and was too powerful due to its massive size. It seems Bandai Namco wants to prevent player frustration.

In the announcement, the company confirmed that the update will adjust the difficulty levels of certain stages in the Battle Episodes, although this will only affect the lower difficulty settings. Lastly, the Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO patch will also nerf one of the most powerful and notorious characters in the competitive scene.
Before launch, producer Jun Furutani warned that the fighting game would respect the canonical power levels of the characters. With this in mind, its not surprising that characters like Whis, Beerus, Gogeta, Vegito, Jiren, and Vegeta are very popular in online modes.
However, fans quickly discovered that one of the most useful characters is actually quite weak in the anime canon. Were talking about Yajirobe, who has proven to be a major annoyance in online matches of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. While his power level doesnt compare to the strongest characters, one of his abilities makes him a real threat.

Specifically, Yajirobe has the ability to use Senzu Beans during battle to heal himself, allowing him to recover health continuously. This makes him extremely hard to defeat.
Without revealing many details, the developers confirmed that the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO update will adjust Yajirobes stats. Its likely that the changes will reduce the amount of health restored by Senzu Beans or increase the time required to use the ability. More information will probably be shared when the patch notes are released.
But tell us, what do you think of these changes? Let us know in the comments.
