As announced, Capcom held a special stream dedicated to Dragons Dogma 2 today, and in addition to revealing its release date, many details were shared about this adventure that is already one of the most anticipated games of 2024.
When will Dragons Dogma 2 debut?

The stream for Dragons Dogma 2 began with a trailer featuring glimpses of its story and an explanation by Hideaki Itsuno, the games director, and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, the producer. The story takes place in a world parallel to the first game and unfolds in the kingdom of Vermund and the nation of Battahl, each with a different perspective on their relationship with the Dragon, a mythical creature related to the cosmogony of this title.
In Vermund, the regent queen Disa has installed a false Arisen, a champion who lost his heart to the Dragon, all to ensure that her son remains on the throne. In Battahl, society considers Pawns as the cause of misfortune, so they have turned to the cult of the Refulgent Flame and its empress Nadinia to ward off calamity. In general, in Dragons Dogma 2, players will be able to create their Arisen and Pawn and experience this story from the differences that exist about each one in the kingdom and the nation.
Capcom revealed that Dragons Dogma 2 will debut on March 22, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Dragons Dogma 2 showcases its combat mechanics and a new class

Subsequently, gameplay details were revealed, confirming that battles against huge creatures will be taken to the next level with a style that at times recalled the cult title Shadow of the Colossus. Also, a new class, the Illusionist, exclusive to the Arisen, will be added, known for deceiving enemies and even manipulating them to fight against themselves.
Finally, the impressive character creation engine was revealed, where we can shape our Arisen and our Pawn. The goal is to make it as detailed as possible according to the players taste, meeting current standards for role-playing and fantasy games.
