In it, Robert Bennett, the films chief designer, revealed the answer to a question that fans have been asking for many years: Is Bonnie blue or purple? In case you didnt know, in the first installment, Bonnie appeared with a color that made everyone think it was purple, but in later video games, it took on a shade that changed the perception to blue.

According to Robert Bennett, the true color of Bonnie is… Blue! "We had to figure out what their colors and textures were. Bonnie is interesting because in all the material I looked at when I was researching, it looked purple. When I did the original designs, I made Bonnie purple. Well, I hadnt realized that Bonnie is blue. It had something to do with the lighting in the first game. When you look at the plushies and all the toys, Bonnie is usually purple. However, Scott Cawthon [creator of FNAF] said, no, its blue. It was a continuous back-and-forth to give that look."
Thus, its clear that the creator of Five Nights at Freddys conceived Bonnie with a blue design, and the movie will ensure to show that this is the true color of the animatronic, discarding the entire narrative of its character design in purple.
