The Five Nights at Freddys film was a resounding success. Despite the highly anticipated Blumhouse Productions movie debuting simultaneously in theaters and on streaming, it had no trouble generating millions at the box office. Given the franchises popularity and its expansive universe, its only a matter of time before more films are confirmed, and new information about the first sequel has just surfaced.
The Blumhouse Productions movie hasnt been out for long since its release; in fact, its still in theaters, but a new report has confirmed that the sequel, Five Nights at Freddys 2, is already in development.
What is known about the Five Nights at Freddys sequel?
Given the early stage of the project, not many details have been shared, but it is indicated that Emma Tammi would return as the director. Considering how involved Scott Cawthon, the series creator, was in the original movie, it is expected that the creative will also have a key role in the sequel.
Likewise, the report from The Hollywood Handle indicates that the production of Five Nights at Freddys 2 (unofficial name) is set to commence at some point in 2024. In case you didnt know, production work encompasses everything up to filming, so there is still the editing work typical of post-production.
Obviously, as of now, nothing has been said about the actors who will participate in this project.
