With memorable characters and intriguing lore, Five Nights at Freddy’s quickly became one of the most popular, beloved, and significant horror franchises of the last decade. As we approach its 10th anniversary, it seems that its creators are preparing an exciting surprise.
In recent days, many news related to the saga created by Scott Cawthon have been shared: from the announcement of a new exclusive Funko Pop! to the revelation of the port of FNAF: Help Wanted 2 for PlayStation 5. Fortunately, everything indicates that the positive streak will continue in the coming days.
Just a few hours ago, Steel Wool Studios confirmed that the Ruin DLC for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach is finally available for free on Xbox consoles. It seems that the surprises dont stop there, or at least thats what a member of the development studio suggested.

Exciting news about Five Nights at Freddy’s could be coming this week
In mid-February, Brian Freyermeuth, design director at Steel Wool Studios, took to his personal account to share a cryptic message. Specifically, he mentioned liking special dates like “11/11/11” and “2/24/24”. Its worth noting that in the United States, the month number precedes the day.
Thus, the creative highlighted that another “cool date” will occur on 4/24/24, which is April 24, 2024. If we look at our calendar, well realize that day is very, very close. For weeks, fans of the animatronics have been trying to decipher the mysterious comment.

Its unknown what the surprise announcement will be, if there really is one. Of course, players are crossing their fingers for Steel Wool Studios to announce the new main installment of the saga or an unpublished spin-off. Lets remember that earlier this year, Five Nights at Freddys: Into the Pit was leaked, a new 2D title; however, that project is by Mega Cat Studios.
Because the cryptic message comes from a member of Steel Wool Studios, it seems unlikely that the news will be related to the pixel art game or the sequel to the live-action movie of FNAF.
Well have to wait to discover the meaning of Brian Freyermeuths comment, although theres also the possibility that there wont be any news on April 24. Therefore, we recommend taking this information with a grain of salt and tempering expectations.

But tell us, what do you think will be announced? Let us know in the comments.
