When talking about franchises that made a significant impact, its obligatory to mention Gears of War. Besides laying the foundation for cover-based third-person shooters, it became a hallmark for the Xbox ecosystems. Now, a clue suggests that fans may soon revisit the classic adventures of Marcus Fenix.
For many years, rumors have circulated suggesting that the saga will return with a collection that includes the first installments, similar to what happened with Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Unfortunately, time passes, and the project remains unannounced, casting doubt on the legitimacy of the reports.

Well have to wait to find out if the alleged collection materializes and hits the stores, but recent statements from an insider gave hope to the community.
The Gears of War Collection would be a reality and could be close, according to an insider
User X Idle Sloth captured a moment from the latest episode of the Xbox Infinite Podcast, where the YouTuber and host Middleagegamegy shed light on the upcoming games from the company. At one point in the conversation, he stated that the rumored Gears of War collection is real and is currently in the testing phase.
"As we talk about Unreal Engine 5, I can tell you something else. The Gears of War collection is being tested as we speak (…) I just know that its currently being tested internally. The build is finished, and theyre playing it now, employees and testers (…) Its real," Middleagegamegy affirmed.

Although the presenter doesnt know which games the hypothetical collection will include, it is assumed that at least the first 3 entries will be part of the package. Of course, there is room for the controversial Judgment to be included as well. According to the information, The Coalition is in charge of the project.
Regarding the release date, Middleagegamegy theorizes that the studio might make a surprise launch during the possible Xbox presentation scheduled for sometime in the summer to increase player hype leading up to the announcement of Gears 6.
Finally, the presenter claims that The Coalition is still working on a new IP, but he hinted that the project seems distant.

Although Middleagegamegy is very confident and asserts that the project is real, we must emphasize that this information is not confirmed. Thus, we recommend taking it with a grain of salt and waiting for an official announcement. We should remember that there will be a new Xbox Developer Direct on January 18. Could we see the collection at the event?
But tell us, would you like the collection to be a reality? Which games would you like to see? Let us know in the comments.
