Although GTA VI was originally slated for a 2025 release, the launch has been delayed to the first half of 2026. The silver lining? The latest trailer confirms plenty of intriguing details, including what appears to be a parody of the PlayStation 5—possibly even hinting at a fictional “PS6” in the game world.
GTA VI’s Trailer Shows a Fake Console That Looks Like a PS6
Around the 2:10 mark in GTA VI’s second trailer, there’s a shot of protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos relaxing on a couch. In the background, eagle-eyed viewers spotted a sleek white console standing vertically near the TV and a matching controller on the glass table.
The device looks remarkably similar to Sony’s PlayStation 5: white plates, a blue LED glow, and an ergonomic controller reminiscent of the DualSense. This led fans to joke that Rockstar Games had “leaked” the PlayStation 6.
Of course, this is just a fictional in-game console—likely meant as a playful nod or parody. Still, it sparked speculation within the community.

Could GTA VI Let You Play Classic GTA Games via Its In-Game Console?
While the console parody could simply be a decorative prop, some fans believe Rockstar may have bigger plans. On Reddit, users began discussing the possibility of playing older GTA titles directly within GTA VI.
“What are the chances they let us emulate Vice City in the game?” one user asked.
“It would be insane if we could play GTA III for even 6 minutes. I’d play it all, no doubt,” another replied.
Although this might sound far-fetched, it’s not unprecedented. SEGA’s Yakuza series lets players enjoy full retro arcade games inside its open world. However, past GTA games have only included fictional mini-games—usually parodies of classic arcade titles rather than full-blown emulations of Rockstar’s own legacy.
Even so, the idea of accessing classic Grand Theft Auto entries like San Andreas or Liberty City Stories through an in-game console has fueled excitement and speculation.

GTA VI Trailer Reveals Key Characters and Locations
While Rockstar has yet to detail GTA VI’s new mechanics or gameplay systems, the second trailer does provide a deeper look at the narrative and world. We now know more about Jason and Lucia’s backstory, and we’ve seen glimpses of the characters they’ll encounter along the way.
The trailer also showcases several major locations players will be able to explore. According to Take-Two Interactive, GTA VI will feature six main areas, including the iconic Vice City—a clear nod to longtime fans of the series.
What do you think? Will Rockstar let us play classic GTA games on the in-game console parody? And what kind of mini-games do you expect to see in GTA VI?
