Silent Hill is experiencing an unexpected comeback with its highs and lows, but there are already projects launched and others in development. However, the tragic atmosphere surrounding the IP seems to be reflected in real life, and a few weeks ago, fans were gripped with fear when a labor crisis at Annapurna, a co-responsible company for one of the new games, was announced. What will happen? Finally, theres an answer.
Is SILENT HILL: Townfall still in development?
Through a post on their official X account, Annapurna Interactive updated the status of SILENT HILL: Townfall, a horror game developed by No Code in collaboration with Konami and co-produced by the indie publisher’s creative branch. According to the information, this project remains in development despite the mass resignations at Annapurna Interactive, and the company assured that the plan is proceeding as announced, with the studio and both companies working together to bring this spin-off to life.
Annapurna regretted the uncertainty surrounding the future of SILENT HILL: Townfall, but in the end, there was good news, as this new installment in the IP remains active.

In case you missed it, a few weeks ago, all workers at Annapurna Interactive, the division responsible for the company’s video games, resigned due to a dispute with the company’s owner, Megan Ellison. This led to a period of uncertainty about ongoing projects, as the publisher is known for its keen eye for quality works, sparking fears of possible closures and cancellations.
According to the information available so far, Annapurna Interactive remains operational, though the status of its labor situation is unclear since all employees left after the owner refused to grant autonomy to the division.
SILENT HILL: Townfall is the first game in an anthology planned by Konami and Annapurna. This installment is being developed by No Code, and the goal is for a different studio to handle each release, following a consistent line while adding their unique touch. In comparison, the plan is to release episodes similar to the suspense and horror IP The Dark Pictures Anthology, expanding the universe and stories of Silent Hill. That said, it has been confirmed that the first chapter by No Code will indeed be released in the future.
