The Last of Us: Part II generated quite a bit of controversy with its original debut. To the surprise of few, the situation was repeated with the arrival of its recent remastering. The title suffered review bombingon Metacritic, a site where some people claimed that its a boring game with a lousy narrative.

Despite initial criticism of The Last of Us: Part II Remastered, the title was well received by the press as it registers a 91 rating on Metacritic. The score by gamers has slowly changed and, as of this writing, is 7.7.
While this is an acceptable rating, the reality is that it is low due to the recent review bombing with ratings of 1 or 0. Many players criticized the titles narrative and called it bad or boring. Part of the community repeated the criticism towards the original game because of what happens with Joel.
"I hate this game. Im sorry, but the storyline is awful. I will never recommend this game to anyone. Hopefully next time developers have more respect for our beloved heroes," stated a user of the site.
"Ive seen a lot of video games with bad stories, but this is easily one of the worst storylines in a game that Ive played,"noted another player.
"Ugly, boring, sjw, bad characters, bad acting, bad writing, bad story.Gameplay is good but it isnt saving the game," another person commented.
