The Last of Us: Part II was undoubtedly a controversial game that did not sit well with many. The problem is that some of them fail to distinguish between reality and fiction, and they vent their anger towards the actors who merely portray the characters. This resulted in harassment and severe threats to the actress who played Abby, and even to her son. Finally, she openly discussed the trauma she experienced.
Abby, a character in the sequel, is one of the most hated characters for reasons exposed in the game, which we wont describe to avoid spoilers for those users who havent played the title.
Laura Bailey, a recognized voice actress in the video game and TV industry, brought the character to life (voice and motion) in one of the most challenging episodes of her career.

The actress had already exposed the harassment and death threats she received simply for portraying this character that many condemned, even giving them reasons to threaten her son, who was only 2 years old at the time.
"Every time I went online, it was just death threats and threats of violence," the actress said with tears in her eyes in the documentary focused on the challenges faced by Naughty Dog during the sequels development.
With tears in her eyes, the actress recounts that the most serious threats were taken seriously to the extent that they made sure they did not come from someone close to her family.
"They were threatening my son, you realize? Who was born during all of this. Yes, it was tough," expressed the actress, who learned from all this to keep her distance.
