Neil Druckmann is Already Working on a New Game, but Naughty Dog Doesn’t Want You to Know What It Is

Its a fact that Naughty Dog is working on unannounced projects. One of them involves its president and the creator of The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann, who publicly talked about his next project.

The creative and executive had already dropped hints about his new project at Naughty Dog, of which we only know that it hasnt been announced yet.

In an interview about the HBO series with Entertainment Weekly, the opportunity to question the creative about the third installment of the acclaimed franchise couldnt be missed. But as expected, Druckmann didnt spill the beans; instead, he simply smiled and explained that he cant say anything about it, not because he doesnt want to, but because hes not allowed to.

"As for the next game at Naughty Dog, I cant say anything," Druckmann warned. "My head of communications over there would kill me."

Why Hasnt Naughty Dog Revealed Its New Project?

While Neil Druckmann said the above in a joking manner, its true that Naughty Dog doesnt want to reveal anything about its project just yet. In fact, Druckmann himself mentioned that the studio hasnt revealed its new game for a good reason: a healthy workload and the well-being of its employees.

As for what was going through Druckmanns mind at that moment… we can only speculate. The creative may have flashed that smile because everyone already imagines that hes involved in the new The Last of Us game, but it could just as well be due to the surprise he knows would come with the announcement of a possible new IP thats very different from what the studio has released, like a fantasy one.

Is Naughty Dog working on The Last of Us: Part III with Neil Druckmann involved?
