Capcom Announces Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, the Ultimate Version of the Capcom Gem
If you havent played this Capcom title yet and were waiting for the announcement of a "definitive version," youll be pleased to know that the Japanese company has announced a new release for all platforms.
Were talking about Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition, a package that includes the base game, the acclaimed Separate Ways expansion starring Ada Wang, and the downloadable content available in the Deluxe Edition. If you purchase this version, youll have access to additional skins for Leon and Ashley, the Skull Shaker and Sentinel Nine weapons, exclusive charms, and the original soundtrack, although it seems that there is no new material.
The Mercenary mode, which allows you to play as various characters and fight against waves of enemies, will be available through a totally free download. Now, how much will this package cost? Unfortunately, the price was not revealed.
To promote the announcement of this edition, Capcom turned to its official communication channels to share a new trailer. However, be aware that some surprises from the main campaign and DLC are shown.
Unfortunately, theres bad news. In statements to IGN, the Japanese company confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition will have a physical edition but will arrive in March and will be exclusive to Europe. Thus, the rest of the regions will have to settle for the digital release.
Its clear that enhanced versions of classic installments were a resounding success. With this in mind, its not surprising that Capcom wants to remake other titles in the horror franchise. What will be the next game to get a remake?
