Interesting news has emerged about Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa, who, in a conversation with his employees some time ago, revealed his favorite franchise. It has now been shared that the Japanese executive is a big fan of Fire Emblem.
As you likely know, Nintendo has a plethora of series that have captivated the community for many years, with some notable examples being Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, and Fire Emblem.

It is precisely this last franchise that has won over Furukawa, who revealed this fact when he was elected as president of Nintendo in 2018 while meeting with his employees to introduce himself.
This curious anecdote about Furukawas love for Fire Emblem was shared on the Kit and Krysta podcast, former employees of the Big N. Here’s what Krysta Yang had to say:
"Another thing about Mr. Furukawa that is really fun is that, you know, he came to our office when he became the global president to introduce himself, so we could get to know him, and I loved that it was the first time we saw his personality and got to know who he is as a person."
Additionally, Yang shared Furukawa’s feelings when he reached the end of a Fire Emblem game and saw his name appear in the end credits, remarking that it was “a harsh and cold reality that brought him back to work.”
