Phil Spencer, Chief of Microsoft Gaming, announced the arrival of 4 exclusive Xbox games on rival platforms, be it PlayStation and/or Nintendo. While Xbox makes its move, Sony has anticipated its own, and the same executive from the North American company confesses that he would like the idea of PlayStation and Nintendo games coming to the Xbox ecosystem.

During an interview with journalist Stephen Totilo, Phil Spencer talked about the release of 4 Xbox games on other platforms and what this could mean for the future. Initially, the executive assured that this is not a move thinking about PlayStation or Nintendo, but the goal is to generate a financial benefit for the Xbox business, so there is no secret plan or anything like that.

However, as he expressed before when advocating for crossplay and stating that gaming should have no barriers, Phil Spencer mentioned that he would like games from PlayStation and Nintendo, especially those with online multiplayer potential, to come to Xbox.
In that sense, the Chief of Microsoft Gaming stated: "This isnt, for me, some kind of a quid pro quo system. Were doing it for the good of the Xbox business. Ill say when I look at a game like Helldivers 2, which is a great game, and I congratulate the team that shipped that on PC and PlayStation, Im not exactly sure who in the industry it helps to not be on Xbox. But I get it. Theres legacy in console gaming of having exclusive launches without putting them other places. We do that. Ill just say that putting more games in more places and making them more accessible to more people is a good thing for the game business."
