Prime Gaming, included with every Amazon Prime subscription, has been a valuable perk for gamers thanks to free monthly PC titles, Twitch channel subscriptions, and exclusive in-game rewards. However, Amazon has officially confirmed that Prime Gaming will be discontinued by the end of 2025.
The good news? All of its benefits will carry over to Amazon Luna, the company’s cloud gaming service that first launched in 2022 and will undergo a major expansion later this year.
Free PC Games and Twitch Perks Are Safe
Prime Gaming users worried about losing their monthly games or free Twitch subscription can breathe easy. According to Amazon, all existing Prime Gaming perks will remain available through Luna, including PC game giveaways and one free monthly Twitch channel subscription.
Even better, these perks will be available in regions where Luna isn’t officially supported—such as Mexico and other Latin American countries—through standard Amazon Prime memberships.

Amazon Luna’s Big Redesign
The shift is part of Amazon’s plan to rebrand and expand Luna into a broader gaming ecosystem. The service will soon introduce GameNight, a social-focused library of 25 party-friendly games playable via smartphones and Bluetooth controllers like the Luna Controller. Titles include Angry Birds, Exploding Kittens, Ticket to Ride, Taboo, and Clue.
Luna will also host unique experiences such as Starring Snoop Dogg, an AI-powered exclusive event.
More Than 50 Games at Launch
At relaunch, Amazon Luna Standard will feature a library of over 50 games, ranging from AAA blockbusters to popular indie titles. Confirmed titles include Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Subscribers who want an even larger library can upgrade to Luna Premium, which adds more high-profile games such as Team Sonic Racing, Batman: Arkham Knight, LEGO DC Super-Villains, and EA Sports FC 25.
While Prime Gaming is disappearing as a brand, its most popular benefits aren’t going anywhere—they’ll simply live under the Luna umbrella.
What do you think of these changes? Will you keep claiming your free games through Amazon Luna? Let us know in the comments.
