Gameloft, the mobile video game developer is planning something huge or at least the latest rumours on the internet suggest so. We know, we always say that you shouldn’t believe in rumours but reading about them doesn’t hurt anyone; this one started circulating after a ResetEra user spotted a job listing, so we can say that this is not completely speculation.

According to the ResetEra thread the company is looking for a Senior Game Designer as they are trying to develop a "highly ambitious"unannounced AAA open-world multiplayer PC/console game based on Unreal Engine with multiplayer free-roam experience.

They will continue with the console game development?

It's a known fact that the company is specialized in mobile games and they don’t tend to develop many console / PC games, however, this project may mark a turning point for them.

The vacant also noted that the candidate needs mentions to know how to design and manage various game systems, game mechanics through the full cycle of production from concept to final stage in a multiplayer open-world experience.

Of course, the responses from users suggest that the French company is trying to replicate the Genshin Impact model. Either way, we are extremely far away from more details as the job listing appeared just a few days ago on LinkedIn so we can say that they are in the very early stages of conceptualization.
